AgroVision AI
A weed map and spot-spraying plan from drone imagery
Building AI products at 16. From Kostanay, Kazakhstan.
I'm Alikhan, a 16-year-old developer from Kostanay, Kazakhstan. I build AI-powered products — computer vision models, progressive web apps and Telegram bots — taking them from concept to deployment. I've competed in hackathons and pitch sessions across the Astana Hub ecosystem in Kostanay, Petropavlovsk and Almaty. In September 2026 our team took first place at the Qostanai AgroTech Hackathon with AgroVision AI, a weed map built from drone imagery. Right now I’m building — no details yet.
Read the long versionThe short version: what the problem was, what is inside, and what honestly did not work. The full write-up of each one lives on its own project site.

First outings with NPAI: learned to fit an idea into a short pitch, and to hear questions about money rather than code.
A conversation with people from outside my own city, where the question of who actually buys this lands hardest.
1–3 November at Dulatov University. The first product built against a real manufacturing case — QA Vision.
5–6 December. A 24-hour hackathon with KZ UniVerse and Startup Battle with NPAI: top-30 teams, pitched in person.
13–14 August. Jasyl: our own dataset, a fine-tuned model and a working offline app in two days.
17–18 September. AgroVision AI: a weed map from drone imagery for Olzha Agro — first place on the case and a 500,000 ₸ prize.
The "Learning" tier isn't filler: without it a stack is just a list.
Confident: Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, FastAPI, aiogram, Git
Used in projects: PyTorch, TensorFlow, MobileNetV2, EfficientNet, YOLOv8, Supabase, Leaflet.js, PWA, Render, Docker
Learning: React, n8n, Ollama, LM Studio
Eight documents from venues in Kostanay and Almaty: hackathons — including the win at the Qostanai AgroTech Hackathon 2026 — a startup idea contest and a city project. Some were issued to the team rather than to me personally, and each one says so plainly.
A free programme run by the Association for the Development of Social Technologies together with ERG Komek and Qostanai Hub: teenagers are taught budget literacy and how to file bids for the participatory budget. The project was the courtyard at 7 Altynsarin Street — drawings, a cost estimate and residents' signatures collected door to door; it passed the city administration's expert board, won the public vote and was funded. Signed by the association's vice-president, Saniya Arapova.
Third place with NPAI. Pizza Pitch is Astana Hub's open pitching format: a short defence of an idea in front of the room and invited investors. Signed by Damir Mnaidarov, director of the Kostanay branch of the Technopark of Innovation Technologies cluster fund — Astana Hub's legal entity; the form carries the Qostanai Hub and AMANAT logos, with the team name written in by hand. The diploma is dated by year only.
Signed by the president of Dulatov University, the ITU regional director for the CIS, the head of Allur's corporate university and the director of Qostanai Hub.
One shared certificate for both festival tracks. Chair of the organising committee: N. T. Duzbayev.
Issued to the team, not to a person: the certificate carries the team name, Jasyl. Signed by the ITU regional director for the CIS and the director of the Kostanay branch of the Astana Hub foundation.
The winner's certificate: first place on case No. 1 — weed recognition from drone imagery. Issued to the team: it carries the name we competed under, Musor Dropp. Signed by Ye. Bayarchuk, CEO of Method 2023 LLP, and D. Mnaidarov, director of the Kostanay branch of Astana Hub.
The case winner's prize — 500,000 ₸: the hackathon's 1,000,000 ₸ fund was split evenly between the two Olzha Agro cases. This is the board handed over on stage — the same one in the team photo.
The hackathon participation certificate. Also issued to the team, with the same signatures as the winner's certificate.
